Joe has worked as a Realtor® with many buyers and sellers of houses, condos, multi-unit and mixed-use buildings throughout the city of Chicago. His clients include owner occupants, investors and developers. He prides himself on being a full service agent who maintains close contact with his clients before, during and after each transaction. Joe’s clients know that they can call on him whether they have a real estate question on their minds or to get the name of a reliable tradesperson who can perform work on their property.
Joe understands that each client has their own set of wants, needs and goals. He begins his process with a thorough discovery period, in which he takes the time to understand exactly what each client is looking for or wants to achieve, followed by extensive research in the market. Joe provides invaluable insight and advice, and works closely with his clients during all stages of each transaction ensuring that all activities go as smoothly as possible and keeping his clients informed. His primary goal is to help his clients meet their goals of selling or acquiring properties that suit their needs in their desired time frame and to make that experience as pleasant and rewarding as possible. Rather than doing a lot of advertising to get clients, Joe gets most of his clients as referrals from satisfied clients.
As a condo owner Joe is familiar with the process of purchasing and owning a condo from personal experience. He served on his condo association board of directors as secretary and became very knowledgeable in the operation of a condo building.
Before working in real estate Joe received his bachelors and masters degrees from the University of Dayton, and for 14 years he worked as an engineer for government contractors and as a product designer in the software industry. His previous work involved many projects that focused on developing human centered systems and products. These projects required client interviews, needs analysis, collaboration, negotiation, project management and leadership skills – all of which he finds very useful in his work as a real estate agent. Joe maintains relationships with prior professional colleagues and friends internationally and he enjoys networking activities which enhance his real estate business.
Joe was born in the Detroit area, where he lived for a few years, and he grew up in Cincinnati. He has also lived in Dayton, OH; Augusta, GA; Aiken, SC and Atlantic City, NJ. Joe has been living in Chicago since 1997.
Some of Joe’s personal interests include homes, architecture, design, family, genealogy, pets, travel, food & drink, live music, community radio, running, swimming, cycling, Blackhawks hockey and international soccer. Around town you may run into Joe when he’s exploring much of what this great city has to offer including sampling some of the delicious cuisine that is available in Chicago’s restaurants; or in a coffeehouse getting re-energized, getting some work done or meeting with a client or colleague; or maybe at a concert venue checking out a new musical artist; or possibly at the gym working off some calories.
